Celebrating a strange and wonderful year at Theatr Iolo

As the year draws to a close and the early lockdown has forced us to put our hooves up and relax a little, we are reflecting on everything we've achieved this year.

We have continued to support our industry and freelancers by providing work for 72 actors, writers, designers, workshop leaders, sound, lighting, technical and production staff.

We have offered digital experiences and online creative learning resources for families, teachers and home learners and given away free Creative Play Packs to families in need. We have continued to commission, rehearse and develop 11 more shows behind the scenes.

We were able to deliver two live theatre indoor productions before the first lockdown and, against all the odds, we were able to create two new live outdoor productions for limited socially distanced families.

We could not do any of this without the support of our board, supporters, collaborators and funders - in particular the Arts Council of Wales - and we'd like to take this opportunity to thank you all!

Our little team of four are so proud of what we've achieved and (although we're looking forward to a little rest!) we will be back in 2021 with a whole load of new ideas for putting smiles on even more faces.
