Frequently Asked Questions

Cwestiynau sy’n codi yn aml

How long is the show?

The performance lasts between 20 and 25 minutes - depending on how much the babies laugh! - But there’s then an opportunity at the end for the babies (and you) to stay and play for another 10-15 minutes.

Where do we sit?

You and your baby can sit on the floor on a cosy collection of duvets and cushions, or there are some chairs at the back for those who find it difficult to sit on the floor.

Does my baby need to be quiet?

No! We’re really keen to encourage the babies to respond however they like - gurgling, laughing, commenting (if they’ve started talking!), or hiccupping!

“It was such a joy to hear the babies giggle!”

“My daughter was completely transfixed, watched every moment & squealed with delight at the paper ripping scene!”

“Wonderful, thank you! My 8 month old was in peals of laughter. He loved it!”

“Brilliant! My 18-month old giggled so much he got hiccups!”

If your baby does get unsettled by this new experience (even though it’s been designed to be a relaxing introduction to theatre), we often find that you simply standing up and moving slightly further away relaxes them enough for them to stay watching the performance. Obviously, if your baby gets really upset, then it’s a good idea to take them outside but you’re very welcome to come back in as soon as they’ve had a feed or a cwtch and calmed down.

Can I breast-feed during the show?

Absolutely! The babies’ comfort is most important to us.

Do babies of this age really concentrate on the performance?

We’ll let some of last year's parents comment on this -

“Wonderful show, totally captivating. I was amazed that my daughter sat through the whole show - she obviously thoroughly enjoyed.”

“My daughter loved it. Couldn’t take her eyes off the stage. She has never sat so still in all her 18 months.”

“Fabulous concept. Amazing to see the little ones follow the story and be so engaged.”

“My 9 month old little girl loved it, enraptured from start to finish.”

Is there somewhere to park my pram/buggy?

Inside Chapter Stiwdio, there is a special area where you can leave buggies, prams, bags, coats, boots and shoes. There will also be people to hold your bags or baby, if necessary, while you take off outer clothing.

Is there somewhere to change my baby?

There’s a changing table in the toilet in the Stiwdio, as well as baby-changing and bottle-warming facilities within the main Chapter building.

Will I enjoy it too?

We hope so!

“It looked so beautiful, simple and calming. The babies relaxed and their mums and dads enjoyed very minute. MORE PLEASE! Captivating.”

“Fantastic - so calming - a haven from the Christmas chaos.”

Beth yw hyd y sioe?

Mae’n berfformiad o ryw 20 neu 25 munud – yn ddibynnol ar faint o chwerthin sy’n cael ei wneud gan y babis!   Ond bydd cyfle ar y diwedd i’r babanod (ac i chithau) gael aros a chwarae am 10-15 munud arall.

Ble dyn ni’n eistedd?

Gallwch chi a’ch babi eistedd ar lawr, ar gasgliad o gwrlidau a chlustogau cynnes, neu mae rhai cadeiriau yn y cefn os nad ydych yn gyfforddus yn eistedd ar y llawr.

Oes angen i fy mabi gadw’n dawel?

Nac oes!  Rydym yn awyddus iawn i’r babanod ymateb mewn unrhyw fodd – gallant swnian neu rwnan neu chwerthin neu sylwebu (os ydynt wedi dechrau siarad), neu igian hyd yn oed!

“Roedd yn gymaint o hwyl clywed y babis yn chwerthin!”

“Roedd fy merch wedi ei chyfareddu, gan wylio pob eiliad & dechreuodd wichian yn orfoleddus yn ystod yr olygfa rhwygo papur!”

“Rhyfeddol, diolch!  Roedd fy maban 8 mis oed yn g’lana’ chwerthin!  Wrth ei fodd!”

“Gwych! Roedd fy mabi sy’n 18 mis yn chwerthin gymaint nes iddo ddechrau igian!”

Os na fydd eich babi yn teimlo’n gartrefol wrth brofi’r theatr am y tro cyntaf (er taw ein bwriad yw creu awyrgylch hamddenol a braf) rydym wedi sylwi bod codi ac ymbellhau ryw ychydig yn gallu bod yn ddigon i helpu’r babi i ymlacio eilwaith er mwyn i chi fedru aros a gwylio’r perfformiad.  Wrth gwrs os fydd eich babi yn wirioneddol anhapus mae croeso i chi fynd â nhw ma’s a dychwelyd cyn gynted ag y byddwch wedi eu bwydo neu eu cysuro digon i’w hymlacio eto.

A gaf i fwydo o’r fron yn ystod y sioe?

Wrth gwrs! Mae cysur eich babi yn bwysig iawn i ni.

Ydy babanod o’r oed yma wir yn gallu canolbwyntio ar y perfformiad?

Dyma sylwadau rhai o rieni’r llynedd ar y pwnc -

“Sioe ryfeddol, yn gwbl gyfareddol.  Roeddwn i’n synnu bod fy merch yn eistedd drwy’r sioe ar ei hyd – roedd hi’n amlwg wedi joio ma’s draw.”

“Roedd fy merch i wrth ei bodd.  Roedd ei llygaid wedi’u hoelio ar y llwyfan.  Dyna’r mwyaf llonydd mae wedi eistedd gydol ei 18 mis.”

“Cysyniad anhygoel.  Roedd yn rhyfeddol gweld y rhai bach yn dilyn y stori ac wedi ymgolli I’r fath raddau.”

“Roedd fy merch 9 mis oed wedi dwlu, wedi’i chyfareddu o’r dechrau i’r diwedd.”

Oes rhywle i barcio fy mhram/bygi?

Yn Stiwdio Chapter, mae lle arbennig i adael bygis, pramiau, bagiau, cotiau ac esgidiau. Bydd pobl yno i helpu hefyd, os bydd eisiau dal bagiau neu fabanod, tra’ch bod yn diosg eich dillad cynnes.

Oes rhywle i newid cewyn fy mabi?

Oes, mae bwrdd newid cewynnau yn nhai bach y Stiwdio, ac mae cyfleusterau newid cewynnau a chyfleusterau cynhesu poteli ym mhrif adeilad Chapter hefyd.

A fydda i’n mwynhau’r sioe hefyd?

Gobeithio!

“Yn weledol, roedd y sioe’n brydferth, yn syml ac yn ymlacio dyn. Fe ymlaciodd y babanod a bu i’r mamau a’r tadau fwynhau pob munud. MWY PLÎS! Cyfareddol.”

“Gwych – mor ymlaciol – dihangfa rhag gwallgofrwydd y Nadolig.”
